Set Default Deletion Periods for posts

As an administrator, you can specify that posts in certain modules are deleted by default after a certain amount of time. This keeps your group's feed up-to-date automatically without you having to edit each post individually.

  1. Select group: Navigate to the group for which you want to adjust the settings.

  2. Open settings: Click on "Settings" within the group.

  3. Select module: Go to the activated modules section and select the corresponding module (e.g., "Forum", "Events", or "Marketplace") to which you want to apply the rule.

  4. Set deletion period: Here you will find the option to define a general deletion date (e.g., "after 30 days").

  5. Save: Confirm the change.

What happens when a post is created? Once you have activated the default deletion period, it directly affects the creation of new content:

  • Pre-filled date: When a member (or you) creates a post in this module, the deletion date is already automatically set in the Advanced Settings according to your specifications.

  • Flexibility remains: Creators can still manually adjust or remove this date if a specific post needs to remain visible longer (or shorter).
