How do open, closed and private groups differ?

Open group

An open group can be joined by other beUnity members of your community at any time without the permission of the group owner and is listed in the group directory.

Closed group

Other beUnity members cannot simply join a closed group. If someone is interested in joining, they can send a request to join. The owner of the group or an administrator finally decides whether this request is accepted or rejected. At the same time, the owner of the group and the administrator can invite other people directly. This type of group is also listed in the group directory.

Private Group

A private group can only be joined by an explicit invitation from the group administrator. The group is neither visible in the group directory nor accessible via the group link as long as you are not a group member. A membership request is therefore excluded
